February twenty-three

Two thousand nine

Dear Pastors & Friends,

We as Christians face a formidable and relentless adversary. Thankfully, we also have a faithful and diligent Advocate. It is unwise to underestimate our enemy, but equally ignorant to not look to our ever present help, the Lord Jesus Christ. We are not invincible but can be made conquerors through Him! Victory can be ours and a victim we need not be.

I hear a lot of negative and a considerable amount of positive in my line of work. It is not healthy to dwell on the bad and forget the greater good. To be a “Pollyanna” is not productive either. One must be honest and deal with all that arises and trust the Lord that reigns over all.

At this writing I am in Southern Louisiana for a meeting and pray God’s best will be our portion. By the way, a preacher friend took me fishing while here, and I caught a twenty-one pound black drum! I’ll be fishing for men while I am here, too!

Thank you so much for your prayers and financial help in these days. The times seem to be perilous – but God! The political and economic arenas are in virtual confusion, but through the chaos we see Christ and His mighty hand at work in lives! May He be glorified in all that we do.

God bless you and yours is my prayer.

Your companion in grace,

Tim Green
