October 21, 2015
Dear Pastor & friends,
I am preaching a Fall Revival in Statesville, North Carolina. The weather is beautiful and the temperature brisk. Sunday’s services were an encouragement and I trust a harbinger of continued blessing. My plea for this and the remaining full preaching schedule of 2015, is, “Brethren, pray for us” (I Thes. 5:25).
As always my confidence is in the Lord and my trust in Him is undiminished. However, this does not preclude my thankfulness for your helpful ministry in my behalf. This verse “jumped” off the page concerning my gratefulness to you and the faithful who continue to support this ministry; “For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord” (I Thes. 3:8). I say from a grateful heart–Thank You!
Since our last correspondence I have preached in Texas, Alaska and Ohio. The first two Sundays of October I preached for a dear brother who is fighting cancer and needs God’s people to pray. He pastors the Fellowship Baptist Church in Montgomery, Ohio, Pastor Dean Gooch. November will find me in Minnesota, Virginia, Alabama and Georgia (and I hope a day or two of deer hunting somewhere!).
Sandy and I are both deeply appreciative of the help and prayers of all of you–God bless you!
His happy servant & your friend,
