Dear Pastor & friends,

Earlier this month I spoke at a youth conference in Arkansas.  Now I know some of you are more than skeptical about an old guy in his late 60’s preaching to teens…that makes two of us!  However, there were some saved and many decisions made at the altar, that if the young people follow through, it will do them a world of good in the future.  The theme of the conference would bear this out; “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;”  (II Timothy 3:14).

Thank you so much for your prayers and financial support in these days.  God has been faithful to provide our needs and I know He uses folks like you as an integral part in His plan.  I pray daily for our supporters and trust the Lord will bless you greatly.  August is a rather ‘quiet’ month for me and I look forward to getting a new book to the publisher and also stay well ahead with the Baptist Bread.

I also want to express my appreciation for all of you that have prayed for Sandy and helped us too with the many extra expenses.  She has another surgery the end of August and we hope that it will be the last in this chapter of our lives.

Your friend & brother,
