Dear Pastor & friends,

The work of God is such a monumental task that I sometimes wonder why the Lord left it up to mere man.  Angels would be more holy, lions would be more intimidating, swans would be more beautiful…He chose us!  Witnessing for Christ when the multiple opportunities present themselves is a great privilege and holy responsibility.  I was preaching this month at a wonderful church in southern Alabama.  During the invitation I saw something I hadn’t seen in quite a while, a young lady with tears flowing down her face in about the third row, on the aisle; I sought for someone to come talk to her and soon she was at the altar and trusting Christ as Saviour!  Her sister also came that morning and was saved.  O God! Do it again and again and again!

To express my appreciation monthly is also a rare privilege afforded this preacher.  Gratefulness is in the depth of my soul for those of you that invest in this faith ministry God has entrusted to me.  The churches and individuals that help us are on my prayer list and an integral part of my prayer life.  By the way, I thank God for your prayers the weekend of July 20-22.  The airports were absolutely a mess!!  I even caught some kind of crud or cold while mingling with thousands of unhappy airport bums!

I am working feverishly on two new books; one is at the printer now and the other is heading that way.  I also just finished up the Nov/Dec Baptist Bread.  Please pray for Sandy and this preacher.  At seventy-five years young I don’t think I’ve ever been so busy!

May God’s best be yours,
