Dear Pastor and Friends,

I guess Al Gore and his ilk of deluded global-warming advocates must be clamoring for answers once again; for after enduring the coldest winter of the 21st century, we are now enjoying the coolest summer since I was a boy in Michigan!  The only time I ever see them getting it right is prophesied in II Peter 3:10!

Often in life discouragement arises in our lives.  Many times people are the greatest source of one being disheartened.  Conversely, folk can be a great fountain of encouragement.  (It is very seldom the same individuals that do both.)  In II Timothy 1:15-18, we find two discouragers and one encourager.  That might imply that those in the tribe of dishearteners outnumber those that lighten other’s loads.  However, I think Paul elaborates on the impact of the encouragers and downgrades the influence of the discouragers – we should too!

Those of you that have supported our home and work these many years are like a band of Onesiphoruses; doing some of the four things mentioned, plus many more.  God knows what you have meant to me and Sandy, and I am confident He will bless you abundantly!

The month of August will find me in three meetings, two up north and one down south, and then it really “kicks-in” September through mid-November.  Please pray!

By His grace,

Tim Green
