Dear Pastor & friends,
Paul said that we Christians were; “…justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:” (Rom. 3:24). What a wonderful gift God has bestowed upon undeserving mankind. His is a kindness of unmerited favor. It is continuously surprising to me how anyone could reject, refuse or ignore the gift of God’s freely given grace. If one merely asks, he will receive and as a beggar become a recipient of the heavenly birthright. A charity seeker is turned into a child of God by this most marvelous of gifts.
The year 2019 opened in Mississippi and Florida. I have preached in these two churches every year for seventeen years and over thirty-five years respectively. They both support our work monthly and God has always ‘shown up’ in these annual meetings in His own way. I am thankful for the long friendship and confidence these churches and their pastors have expressed over our long association. By the way, they have to usually put up with new messages that I preach to see if they will ‘fly!’ My philosophy is if a sermon is worth preaching once it is worth preaching over and over again! Evangelists don’t change their messages they just change the locale where they preach.
I trust this note expresses to each church and individual; that support our home and ministry, my deepest appreciation. Also, Sandy and I value highly your continued prayers for both of us. I recently had knee surgery (torn meniscus) and I am just about to relinquish the use of my cane and have gotten rid of the crutches. That cane sure helps one get on the airplanes right after the wheelchair folk!
May God’s best always be yours,
Tim Green
