January Twenty Five
Two Thousand Eight
Dear Pastor and friends,
The Bible says in John 21:3, “…that night they caught nothing.†A.B. Simpson said about this verse, “ God does not allow His chosen ones to prosper in the path that leads them out of His Holy will! He has a storm to send after every Jonah, and an empty net for every unbelieving and inconsistent Simon.â€
Sometimes the storms of life and the empty nets seem to be constant companions. Several of my good friends and faithful supporters are facing the fiercest storms of their lives and need our prayers. Many times the Gospel net is tossed upon the sea of life and comes up empty or seemingly so. One case in point is an unremembered sermon I preached, well over twenty years ago. I recently preached for a young pastor who said he was called to preach that night as a seven year old boy. I was unaware and to be honest, I probably wouldn’t of been impressed, but God was with that young lad, who is now a man–God’s man!
Thank you for all you do in helping me in my ministry and Sandy and I in our home to keep fulfilling the Lord’s plan for us. I am eternally grateful and glad to ride out the storms with Him and throw nets, seeking His.
Yours in the storm with a net,
Tim Green, Evangelist
