October Prayer Letter
October Twenty Six
Two Thousand Seven
Dear Pastor and friends,
What a blessing to be involved in the work of God. I know sometimes it seems it is all in vain, but the Lord then shows His might and power. This month I preached the seventeenth anniversary of a wonderful church in Arkansas. A blessed singing group sang and many activities were planned for this special day. I preached a simple message entitled “ You Ought To Be a Christian.†A man my age, think of it, an old guy, like me walked the aisle and was saved. It was his third Sunday attending in a row and his testimony of salvation thrilled us all. I haven’t gotten over it yet!! In my opinion, old-fashioned, Bible preaching, coupled with the anointing of God on a service and a servant is still God’s way of doing His work.
I greatly appreciate your faithful support of our work and home. Only eternity will be able to express the magnitude of what the dear Lord has done through your giving. God bless you richly is my earnest prayer.
November will find me in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Alabama preaching, and I hope to get in a day or three of deer hunting in Michigan. Oh, besides, the wonderful conversion of the fifty-eight year old man, others were saved in meetings in Texas during the revival and I also spoke at conferences in Michigan and Mississippi.
Sandy and I covet your prayers for our family and especially Andrew at this time in his life. He is going through a deep valley, but God has been the Lily of that terrain. We love and pray for you daily.
Your companion in grace,
Tim Green
