For more than twenty-five years I have preached at the White Plains Baptist Church in Mt. Airy, North Carolina on Mother’s Day. Bro. Carl Lackey first invited me, and now, Bro. Bill Tucker keeps up the “tradition.” This past Mother’s Day we enjoyed a full house and several saved. The conversions that blessed me above measure were those of two girls who knelt at the altar with their mother and were led to Christ. Tears flowed freely down the faces of the young converts and weeping with rejoicing, was their mother’s portion that day.

God has allowed us to crisscross this great country of ours in evangelism for more than thirty years, but the times have so changed and the wickedness is so abounding that my concern for the churches and God’s people has grown exponentially. O, how we need a revival and how vital it is that we hold one another up in prayer. “ “O, Lord, revive thy work…” ( Hab. 3:2a).
